About CPCare.org

With more than two decades of history, we’ve grown into one of the largest global communities for Cerebral Palsy & Brain Injury support—connecting families, sharing resources, and fostering a vibrant space of compassion and care. CPCare.org is the “support focused” branch of the BRIGHT Foundation, a nonprofit organization. BRIGHT also leads CPCure.org which is dedicated to advocating for breakthrough research that will lead to a cure for CP & brain injury.

Empowering Families. Transforming Lives. One Connection at a Time.

Welcome to CPCare.org, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting parents and caregivers of children and adults living with cerebral palsy (CP). We believe that no caregiver should feel alone, overwhelmed, or under-resourced. Through compassionate services and expert-driven resources, we help families navigate the complex journey of cerebral palsy care with confidence and community.

Whether you’re a parent seeking guidance after a new diagnosis, a grandparent helping with daily routines, or a professional caregiver looking for tools and connection, CPCare.org is here to uplift, educate, and walk alongside you—wherever you are.

Our Mission

At CPCare.org, our mission is simple yet powerful: To empower caregivers of individuals with cerebral palsy through accessible resources, emotional support, and expert-led education—so they can provide the best care possible while preserving their own well-being.

We understand that cerebral palsy affects not just the individual, but the entire family. That’s why our services are designed to meet the needs of caregivers at every stage—from early diagnosis to long-term care.

Why Accessible Support Matters

Caring for someone with cerebral palsy can be physically and emotionally demanding. Many caregivers face barriers such as:

  • Limited access to specialized care
  • Financial constraints that make traditional services difficult
  • Time limitations due to full-time caregiving responsibilities
  • Emotional isolation and lack of peer support

CPCare.org bridges these gaps by offering flexible, inclusive support that adapts to your lifestyle and schedule. Our platform provides:

  • Expert-Led Webinars on topics like physical therapy, communication strategies, and adaptive technologies
  • Live Support Groups moderated by trained, experienced caregivers
  • Resource Library filled with guides, toolkits, and evidence-based information
  • On-Demand Workshops for skill-building and education
  • One-on-One Consultations with medical professionals, therapists, and social workers

All of our services are designed to be accessible from anywhere, so caregivers can get the help they need without added stress or travel.

Our Story

CPCare.org was founded by a group of parents, therapists, and advocates who saw a critical need for centralized, caregiver-focused support for CP families. After years of navigating fragmented systems and feeling isolated, they came together to create a solution that would be:

  • Accessible to anyone with an internet connection
  • Evidence-based and guided by medical and therapeutic experts
  • Emotionally supportive, recognizing the mental health toll of caregiving
  • Community-driven, fostering connection and shared experience

Since our launch more than 20 years ago, we’ve helped thousands of caregivers find clarity, confidence, and community. Our impact continues to grow, thanks to generous donors, volunteers, and partners who believe in our mission.
